VIBRATION DAMPING STRUCTURE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping structure offering even higher vibration damping effect, facilitating construction, and having a light-weight and low-cost friction damper.SOLUTION: A vibration damping structure has a friction damper provided between a member on one side and a member on the other side installed on a frame. The friction damper includes: a first plate material provided on the side with the member on one side; a fixing plate material connected directly to the member on the other side; a second plate material spanned on one surface side of the first plate material and the fixing plate material and fastened to the fixing plate material; a third plate material spanned on the other surface side of the first plate material and the fixing plate material and fastened to the fixing plate material along with the second plate material; and a pressing member pressing the first plate material, the second plate material, and the third plate material in a way that allows a relative motion among the plate materials.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
