VIBRATION DAMPING STRUCTURE
To suppress vibrations of structures with different amplitudes and frequencies using a single vibration damping structure.SOLUTION: A vibration damping structure includes: a plurality of first seismic isolation bearings which are arranged on an upper portion of a structure and each of which is either one of an elastic bearing or an elasto-plastic bearing having higher rigidity than the elastic bearing; an intermediate member which is placed on the plurality of first seismic isolation bearings; a plurality of second seismic isolation bearings which are placed on the intermediate member and each of which is the other of the elastic bearing or the elasto-plastic bearing; a mass body which is placed on the plurality of second seismic isolation bearings; and an attenuation damper which is arranged on a layer on which the first seismic isolation bearing that is the elastic bearing is provided or on a layer on which the second seismic isolation bearing that is the elasto-plastic bearing is provided, with one end attached to the intermediate member and the other end attached to the upper portion or the mass body of the structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
