PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately allow tower sections to connect to each other.SOLUTION: A method of assembling a windmill tower, which is composed of a plurality of tower sections, comprises: a step of measuring the diameter of an upper end part of a lower section and the diameter of a lower end part of an upper section; a step of applying the radial direction force of the windmill tower to at least one of the upper end part of the lower section or the lower end part of the upper section so that the difference in diameter between the upper end part of the lower section and the lower end part of the upper section is smaller, based on the measurement results of the diameters; a step of suspending the upper section above the lower section with the lower section upright, and facing the upper end part of the lower section and the lower end part of the upper section; and a step of connecting the lower end part of the upper section to the upper end part of the lower section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
