OPTICAL POLARIZATION ELEMENT, OPTICAL DEFLECTION SHEET, OPTICAL DEFLECTION WINDOW MATERIAL, LIGHTING SYSTEM, AND OPTICAL POLARIZATION ELEMENT MANUFACTURING METHOD
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical polarization element that suppresses polarized light from glaring.SOLUTION: An optical polarization element comprises: a base material; and a micro optical member that is dispersed inside the base material. The base material comprises: a first surface; and a second surface. Inside the base material, a mutually orthogonal X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis are set such that the Z-axis penetrates the first surface and second surface. A refractive index in each axis direction inside the base material and a refractive index in each axis direction in the micro optical member have a relation of a prescribed refractive index. The optical polarization element is configured to deflect light to be incident with an angle with respect to the Z-axis so as to get close to a direction in parallel with the Z-axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
