PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe driving method and a pipe material driving unit such that workability is superior and construction costs are reducible.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to: a pipe material driving unit 1 which comprises a core material 2, a pipe material 3 fitted around the core material 2, and a tip member 4 shielding a tip of the pipe material 3, and has a core material fixation part 41 for attaching and detaching a tip of the core material 2 formed at the tip member 4; and a pipe driving method comprising a piping process of arranging the pipe material driving unit 1 in the ground by striking or pressing the core material 2, and a core material removing process of putting the core material 2 out of the pipe material 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
