PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card reader which is free from malfunction due to a secular change, in which an arrangement position is hard to understand even when it is forcibly opened, and which has a tamper switch structure suitable for downsizing.SOLUTION: A card reader is constituted by: a box-shaped inner cover 12 opening frontward which is fixed to a mounting box side; and a body assembly 11 detachably provided at the inner cover 12, and constituted by laminating and fixing at least a switch sheet and a circuit board inside of an outer cover 14 having an opening frame shape. A tamper switch is provided for detecting abnormality of the body assembly 11 being removed with respect to the inner cover 12. The tamper switch is arranged in a CPU circuit board 36, and it is constituted by a Hall IC 40 including a magnetism detection circuit for detecting and outputting an external magnetic field by a Hall element, and a magnet member 42 arranged at the inner cover 12 facing the Hall IC 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】経年変化による誤動作がなく、こじ開けられた場合にも配置位置が分かりづらく、更に、小型化に好適なタンパースイッチ構造を備えたカードリーダを提供する。【解決手段】取付ボックス側に固定される前方に開口された箱形の内カバー12と、内カバー12に着脱自在に設けられ、開口枠形状を持つ外カバー14の内側に少なくともスイッチシートと回路基板を積層固定して構成された本体アッセンブリィ11で構成される。内カバー12に対し本体アッセンブリィ11が外される異常を検出するタンパースイッチが設けられ、タンパースイッチは、CPU回路基板36に配置され、ホール素子により外部磁界を検出して出力する磁気検出回路を備えたホールIC40とホールIC40に相対して内カバー12の配置された磁石部材42で構成される。【選択図】図4
