PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a decorative building board having a surface covering layer, excellent in water proofness and adhesion, and also excellent in an antifouling property.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a decorative building board having a metal siding base material having a metal plate, a core material and a reverse surface material in this order and a surface covering layer formed on a metal plate side surface of the metal siding base material, executes a process of forming a surface covering layer by heating after coating aqueous resin emulsion paint of including a film-forming assistant, a hydrophilic antifouling component and a synthetic resin particle, on a metal plate side surface of the metal siding base material. At this time, ethylene glycol monobutyl ether is included in the film-forming assistant, and a colloidal silica particle and/or a colloidal silica-resin composite particle is included in a hydrophilic antifouling component. A quantity of ethylene glycol monobutyl ether is set to 2-10 mass% to a total amount of the aqueous resin emulsion paint.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】耐水性や密着性に優れ、さらに防汚性にも優れる表面被覆層を有する化粧建築板の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】金属板、芯材、および裏面材をこの順に有する金属サイディング基材と、前記金属サイディング基材の金属板側表面に形成された表面被覆層と、を有する化粧建築板の製造方法において、造膜助剤と、親水性防汚成分と、合成樹脂粒子と、を含む水系樹脂エマルション塗料を、前記金属サイディング基材の金属板側表面に塗布後、加熱して、前記表面被覆層を形成する工程を行う。このとき、造膜助剤に、エチレングリコールモノブチルエーテルを含め、親水性防汚成分に、コロイダルシリカ粒子および/またはコロイダルシリカ・樹脂複合粒子を含める。また、エチレングリコールモノブチルエーテルの量を、前記水系樹脂エマルション塗料の総量に対して2〜10質量%とする。【選択図】なし
