FIBER-REINFORCED POROUS BODY
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-reinforced porous body in which a porous body is reinforced without filling pores with whiskers or fibers.SOLUTION: The fiber-reinforced porous body includes: a porous substrate made of an oxide having a large number of communication pores; and a fibrous material which reinforces the porous substrate. The porosity of the fiber-reinforced porous body is 32% or more and 96% or less. The fibrous material is formed as a fiber-reinforced layer which is brought, in a layer form, into intimate contact with the wall surfaces of the pores without filling the pores of the porous substrate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】気孔をウィスカーやファイバーで充填すること無く多孔体を補強した繊維強化多孔体を提供する。【解決手段】繊維強化多孔体は、連通する多数の気孔を有する酸化物製の多孔質基材と、前記多孔質基材を補強する繊維状物質とを有する。繊維強化多孔体の気孔率は、32%以上96%以下である。繊維状物質は、多孔質基材の気孔を充填すること無く気孔の壁面に層状に密着した繊維強化層として形成されている。【選択図】図1
