COATED INORGANIC FIBER POROUS BODY
To provide a coated inorganic fiber porous body which is suitable for use under a higher temperature because, even though inorganic fibers which constitute an inorganic porous body has good thermal resistance, thermal resistance of a binder such as a silane coupling agent and the like is limited.SOLUTION: The coated inorganic fiber porous body comprises: a porous body 1 containing inorganic fibers except asbestos; and a coating member 2 which coats at least a portion of a surface of the porous body. In the porous body, a content of the inorganic fibers relative to all inorganic components is 80 mass% or more, a content of the inorganic fiber and the coupling agent relative to the whole of the porous body is 95 mass% or more, a content of the organic binder is 0.5 mass% to 10 mass%, a bulk density of the porous body is 0.001 to 0.1 g/cm3, and an emissivity of the coating member is lower than an emissivity of the porous body. The coating member contains a metal and has an emissivity of 0.5 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
