To provide an inorganic fiber porous body, fracture of which, when applying the same on a curved surface, can be prevented.SOLUTION: The inorganic fiber porous body comprises: a porous body 1 containing inorganic fibers except asbestos; and slits 2 provided on a surface of the porous body, where a bulk density of the porous body is 0.001 to 0.1 g/cm3. The porous body containing inorganic fibers contains inorganic fibers except asbestos and a coupling agent, where a content of the inorganic fibers relative to all inorganic components is 80 mass% or more, and a content of the inorganic fibers and the coupling agent relative to the whole of the porous body is 95 mass% or more, or the porous body containing inorganic fibers contains inorganic fibers except asbestos and an organic binder, where a content of the inorganic fibers is 90 mass% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
