GROUND COMPACTION DEVICE AND GROUND COMPACTION METHOD USING THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground compaction device capable of compacting a soft ground efficiently at a low cost, by having a diametrically expanding plate protrude/recede.SOLUTION: A ground compaction device 10 is for having a casing rod 20 penetrate into a sand or other soft ground 1 to a prescribed depth h, and compacting a peripheral ground 2 into which the casing rod 20 has penetrated. A diametrically expanding plate 21 is provided on a tip 20a of the casing rod 20, in a way that allows the diametrically expanding plate to protrude/recede freely in a horizontal direction. An impact generating source is provided near the diametrically expanding plate 21 in the casing rod 20, so as to allow the diametrically expanding plate 21 to protrude freely from an outer peripheral surface 20c of the casing rod 20 when impacted by the impact generating source. The peripheral ground 2 is compacted by the diametrically expanding plate 21 protruding from/receding into the outer peripheral surface 20c of the casing rod 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
