REINFORCEMENT STRUCTURE AND REINFORCEMENT METHOD OF EXISTING STEEL SHEET PILE WALL
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcement structure and a reinforcement method of an existing steel sheet pile wall, which can be constructed without removing a short strut structure even if an existing wall is a short strut type revetment, and avoid river-width reduction by suppressing extension toward waterside and requires no ground improvement.SOLUTION: An existing steel sheet pile wall reinforcement structure 1 according to this invention is formed of an U-shaped steel sheet pile or a hat-shaped steel sheet pile and has an irregular part that is alternately connected to a wall surface, and is horizontally supported around its head part by a short strut structure 27. The existing steel sheet pile reinforcement structure 1 comprises: a reinforcement member 5, which is installed so as to butt against a surface of a concavity 3a of the existing steel sheet pile wall 3; a lower short strut structure 7, which integrally supports lower parts of the reinforcement member 5 and the existing steel sheet pile wall 3; and an upper short strut structure 9, which is constructed on an upper end of the reinforcement member 5 and integrally supports the upper end of the reinforcement member 5 and an upper part of the existing steel sheet pile wall 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
