PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core material configuration offering fine appearance and sufficient strength.SOLUTION: A frame material 1 of a flush structure is formed by attaching front and rear surface materials 3 on front and rear sides of a core material 2 that is a laminated body of a plywood 21 and an edge member 22, the plywood being provided such that a direction of lamination is orthogonal to the front-rear direction and the edge member being provided on a surface of the plywood and made of a medium density fiberboard (MDF). An edge material 5 is provided on a material edge surface for continuously covering a plate surface of the edge member of the core material and end surfaces of the front and rear surface materials, and a panel board fitting groove 4 is formed that has a depth to penetrate through the edge material and the edge member and reaching an intermediate portion of the plywood. An inner surface of the edge member exposed on the panel board fitting groove is provided with coatings 8, 8 of a color similar to decorative sheets 6, 6, bonded on the front and rear surface materials. Even when a translucent plate is used as a panel board 12, the edge member seen through the translucent plate is a smooth surface of MDF. As such, decline in appearance is suppressed even without coating, and the coating may be finished readily and beautifully when coating. 【課題】見栄えが良好で強度も十分に確保される芯材の構成を提供する。【解決手段】単板積層方向が表裏方向に直交するように設けられる合板２１と、合板の一面に設けられるＭＤＦ（中密度繊維板、中質繊維板）からなる端部材２２との積層体である芯材２の表裏に表裏面材３を設けてなるフラッシュ構造の框材１であり、框材端面において芯材の端部材の板面および表裏面材の木口面を連続して被覆する縁材５が設けられ、縁材および端部材を貫通して合板の途中に至る深さの鏡板嵌合溝４が形成される。鏡板嵌合溝に露出する端部材の内面には、表裏面材に貼着される化粧シート６，６に近似する色の塗装８，８が施される。鏡板１２として透光板を用いた場合であっても、透光板を通して観察される端部材はＭＤＦの平滑面であるから、塗装なしでも見栄えの低下を抑え、塗装する場合も容易で美観良く仕上げることができる。芯材の合板部分で鏡板の端縁部を強固に保持する。【選択図】図２
