CONNECTION DEVICE AND CONNECTION METHOD FOR CONNECTING UNIT ATTACHMENTS OF CONSTRUCTION MACHINE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection device and connection method capable of connecting unit attachments, while avoiding significant weight increase of the attachments.SOLUTION: A connection device (10) for connecting a first unit attachment and a second unit attachment, comprises: a connection pin (80) formed into a cylindrical shape having an inner peripheral face for surrounding an inner space (S); and an insertion device (12). The insertion device (12) comprises a rod (30), a cylinder (20), a cylinder holding part (40) for holding the cylinder (20) in a state of extending over a first facing part and a second facing part, and a reaction force generation member (50) for coming into contact with the first unit attachment or second unit attachment from the second side to the first side, in a state of being connected to a tip end part (30a) of the rod, thereby generating reaction force required for the cylinder (20) to insert the connection pin (80) into each insertion hole (116h, 118h) following to shrinkage of the rod (30).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
