LOW TEMPERATURE FIRED APATITE CERAMIC AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low temperature fired apatite ceramic which prevents precipitation of metallic silver even when fired and is excellent in homogeneous antifungal properties and durability, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: There are provided a low temperature fired apatite ceramic and a method for producing the same which includes: adding ethanol to a mixture of powder of carbonic acid-containing apatite hydroxide containing a carbonate group in crystal and silver or silver oxide and kneading the mixture; and evaporating and removing the ethanol from the mixture to obtain a powdery apatite composition. The method includes: placing the powdery apatite composition into a mold vessel, pressurizing the composition to prepare an apatite composition body having a predetermined shape, and heating and firing the apatite composite body to a setting temperature in a range of 500-970°C to obtain apatite ceramic obtained by dissolving silver as a solid solution in ceramic. The obtained apatite ceramic is a dispersion solid solution of silver in which a peak of metallic silver (Ag (cubic)) is not detected even by crystal structure analysis using X-ray analysis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】焼成を行っても金属銀が析出することのない、均質な抗菌性と耐久性に優れる低温焼成アパタイトセラミックスおよびその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の低温焼成アパタイトセラミックスおよびその製造方法は、結晶中に炭酸基を含有する炭酸含有水酸アパタイトの粉末と、銀または酸化銀との混合物に、エタノールを加えて混錬し、これからエタノールを蒸発させて取り除いて、粉末状のアパタイト組成物を得る。そして、粉末状のアパタイト組成物を金型容器等に入れて加圧し、所定形状のアパタイト組成物体を作製するとともに、このアパタイト組成物体を、500〜970℃の範囲内の設定温度まで加熱・焼成して、銀がセラミックス中に固溶したアパタイトセラミックスを得る。得られたアパタイトセラミックスは、X線回折を用いた結晶構造解析によっても金属銀〔●Ag(cubic)〕のピークが検出されない、銀の分散固溶体である。【選択図】図3
