THERMAL INSULATION COATING MATERIAL FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING NOZZLE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal insulation coating material without containing inorganic fibers for a continuous casting nozzle capable of preventing cracks during heating while maintaining good thermal insulation property.SOLUTION: Thermal insulation coating material for a continuous casting nozzle comprises 60 to 90% mass% of heat resistant inorganic hollow particles, 10 to 40% mass% of heat resistant inorganic solid particles, a liquid binder, and a heat resistant silica based raw material containing 75 mass% or more of SiOand 50 mass% or more of quartz as a mineral phase, as much as 2 to 10 mass% with respect to the total amount of the heat resistant inorganic hollow particles and the heat resistant inorganic solid particles.SELECTED DRAWING: None
