ELEVATED BICYCLE ROAD SERVING AS EVACUATION FACILITY
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle road enabling bicycles to run safely without any accidents in a high-population urban area, capable of solving the problem of shortage of bicycle parking areas, and also serving as an evacuation facility which is easily accessible by residents and passersby to escape to when a disaster such as a massive earthquake, or windstorm and flood.SOLUTION: In an elevated bicycle road constructed on a major road, since a bicycle runs on a specific road, so that it is possible to prevent accidents of the bicycle contacting a passerby or colliding with an automobile, and a bicycle parking area provided along it is helpful for solving the problem of shortage of bicycle parking areas and illegal parking. Furthermore, since the bicycle road has excellent earthquake-resistance and fire-resistance, and is arranged on an elevated part, in the shape of a semi-cylindrical dome with a roof and a window, it is possible to reduce the damage caused by a massive earthquake, or windstorm and flood, and residents and passersby can escape thereto as an easily-accessible evacuation facility.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】 人口密集の市街地で自転車が事故もなく安全に走行でき、駐輪場不足を解消し、また、大地震や風水害等の災害が発生した時に住民や通行者らが身近に逃げ込める避難施設として利用できる自転車道路を提供する。【解決手段】 主要道路の上に構築された該高架式自転車道路は自転車が専用道路を走行するので、歩行者と接触したり自動車に衝突されたりする事故を防ぐことができ、併設されている駐輪場は駐輪場不足や違法駐輪の解消に役立つ。また、該自転車道路は、耐震性、耐火性に優れ屋根や窓のあるかまぼこドーム型で高いところに設置されているので大地震や風水害等の被害を軽減し、住民や通行者らは身近な避難施設として避難することができる。【選択図】図１
