PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve strength against compression and bending.SOLUTION: An assembly member 10 is provided with a first formed member 12 and a second formed member 14 shaped in a long rectangular shape, each of which comprises a web portion 16, 26, a first flange portion 18, 28, a second flange portion 20, 30, a first lip portion 22, 32, and a second lip portion 24, 34, respectively. A closed cross section of the first formed member 12 and the second formed member 14 taken along a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction is formed between a web portion 16, the first flange portion 18 and the second flange portion 20 of the first member 12 and a web portion 26, the first flange portion 28 and the second flange portion 30 of the second formed member 14 by connecting the first flange portion 18 of the first formed member 12 and the second flange portion 30 of the second formed member 14 as well as connecting the first flange portion 28 of the second formed member 14 and the second flange portion 20 of the first formed member 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
