PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome a difficulty in laying a tile neatly on a floor, in a small margin part where a whole tile cannot be laid.SOLUTION: A method for laying a rectangular tile, at an angle of 45 degrees to an edge side of a tile laying surface, includes the following steps for: 1 to roughly cut a tile that cannot be laid as is; 2 setting back the cut tile from a prescribed position, from the edge side in parallel with a tile already laid, by a distance equivalent to √2 (square root of 2) times a width of a rectangular ruler used, and overlapping the roughly cut tile with the tile already laid; 3 aligning the ruler used with the edge side, and cutting the tile already laid along a side surface on an opposite side of the ruler; and 4 laying the cut tile along the side edge.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】 床等にタイルを敷設する場合、１枚のタイルが入らない小さな余白部分をきっちりと敷設することが難しい。【解決手段】 長方形タイルを被敷設面の端辺に対して４５度の角度で敷き詰める方法において、次の工程からなる方法。１ そのままでは敷設できないタイルを、粗切りする、２ 粗切りしたタイルを、所定位置から、使用する長方形の定規の幅の√２（ルート２）倍の距離を端辺から、既設タイルに平行に、後退させ、既設のタイル重ね合わせる、３ 使用する定規を前記端辺に沿わせて、その反対側側面で前記重ね合わせたタイルを切断する、４ 切断したタイルを該端辺に沿わせて敷設する。【選択図】 図１
