PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a vehicle door from being unlocked illicitly using a radio wave relay even if a portable unit is far from a vehicle.SOLUTION: For a request signal transmitted from a vehicle-mounted wireless authentication device while specifying a portable unit, the signal strength of a portion of an authentication signal replied by the portable unit is made greater than standard signal strength. Although the vehicle-mounted wireless authentication device does not authenticate the portable unit when a portion of the authentication signal is received while duplicated, the vehicle-mounted wireless authentication device authenticates the portable unit on the basis of the authentication signal when a portion of the authentication signal is not received while duplicated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
【課題】車両から携帯機が離れているにも拘わらず、電波中継器を用いて車両の扉が不正に開錠されてしまうことを防止する。【解決手段】車載用無線認証装置から携帯機を特定して送信された要求信号に対して、携帯機が返信する認証信号の一部の信号強度を、標準の信号強度よりも大きくしておく。そして、車載用無線認証装置は、認証信号の一部が重複して受信された場合には、携帯機を認証しないが、認証信号が重複して受信されていない場合には、認証信号に基づいて携帯機を認証する。【選択図】図12
