WIRELESS AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM OF VEHICLE
To provide a wireless authentication system of a vehicle which requires no expensive antenna for transmission and reception of LF waves to thereby enable reduction of the cost of the system.SOLUTION: A wireless authentication system of a vehicle is provided, comprising: a portable appliance A which can be carried by an occupant and has an antenna 1 at the portable appliance side through which a signal relating to an authentication code unique to a vehicle can be transmitted and received wirelessly; an on-vehicle unit B which is mounted on the vehicle and has an antenna 6 at the vehicle side through which a signal can be transmitted and received wirelessly between the antenna at the vehicle side and the antenna 1 at the portable appliance side of the portable appliance A; determination means 8 that can determine whether or not the authentication code received by the antenna 6 at the vehicle side is a qualified authentication code; and lock control means 9 that can release lock performed by lock means 10 regulating travelling of the vehicle when the determination means 8 determines that the authentication code is the qualified authentication code, wherein transmission and reception between the antenna 1 at the portable appliance side and the antenna 6 at the vehicle side are each performed only by RF wave.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
