METHOD FOR PRODUCING CERAMIC POROUS BODY, AND CERAMIC POROUS BODY
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a ceramic porous body easily at low cost, the porous body having high air permeability, low thermal conductivity, and proper strength as a structural material, showing small differences in physical properties due to a direction, and capable of being used under high temperature circumstances.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for producing a ceramic porous body, including the steps of: gelling a raw material slurry obtained by mixing a ceramic slurry comprising a raw material powder comprising a ceramic, a gelatinizer, and water with a foam prepared by using a surfactant and a polyhydric alcohol to obtain a gel body; freezing the gel body to obtain a freezed body; and removing ice from the freezed body to obtain a dried body, and then calcinating the dried body to obtain a ceramic porous body having a number of spherical pores encapsulated therein and having a continuous cellular structure in which a through hole communicating with spherical pores adjacent to each other is formed in a partition wall that constitutes the spherical pore.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】空気透過率が高く、熱伝導率が低く、構造材料として適度な強度を有するとともに、向き(方向)による物理的特性の差が小さく、高温条件下で使用可能なセラミックス多孔体を簡便かつ安価に製造することができる製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】セラミックスからなる原料粉体、ゲル化剤、及び水を含有するセラミックススラリーと、界面活性剤及び多価アルコールを用いて調製した泡と、を混合して得た原料スラリーをゲル化させてゲル体を得る工程と、ゲル体を凍結して凍結体を得る工程と、凍結体から氷を除去して得た乾燥体を焼成して、多数の球状気孔を内包するとともに、隣接する球状気孔どうしを連通する貫通孔が球状気孔を構成する隔壁に形成された連続気泡構造を有するセラミックス多孔体を得る工程と、を有するセラミックス多孔体の製造方法である。【選択図】図1
