PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method of powder containing chlorine and mercury capable of efficiently eluting to remove chlorine and mercury from the powder containing chlorine and mercury.SOLUTION: A processing method of powder containing chlorine and mercury includes: a slurry step for adding water to the powder containing chlorine and mercury to make slurry; an ORP adjustment step for adjusting oxidation reduction potential of slurry to a range of +700 mV to +1200 mV; a pH adjustment step for adjusting pH of the slurry to a range of 1 to 4; an elution step for eluting mercury and chlorine contained in the slurry subjected to adjustment into water; and a dehydration step for dehydrating the slurry in which mercury and chlorine are eluted into the water.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
