PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chlorine-containing powder treating method which can selectively elute chlorine from chlorine-containing powder and then remove the chlorine.SOLUTION: A chlorine-containing powder treating method includes: a slurring step of adding water to chlorine-containing powder and slurring the chlorine-containing powder; an ORP adjusting step of adjusting an oxidation reduction potential of slurry, for a relation of pH of the slurry and oxidation-reduction potential thereof to meet a predetermined formula; an elution step of eluting chlorine contained in the slurry which is adjusted, into water; and a dehydration step of dehydrating the slurry from which chlorine are eluted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
