To provide a road paving machine provided with a screed which efficiently utilizes a generator and line capacity.SOLUTION: A road paving machine 1 includes a generator G, a control device 15, and a screed. The screed includes a basic screed 9 and is suitable for being deformed from a first configuration of screed into a second different configuration thereof by selectively detaching widening parts 11 and 13. The basic screed 9 and the widening parts 11 and 13 are provided with a single compression unit and a single electric heating element 27 to which electric power is supplied from the generator G for heating the compression unit, respectively, so that an installation material does not adhere to the compression unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
