PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground material and a ground improvement method in which an earth structure is not remarkably deformed and which can suppress destruction even when an earthquake motion beyond assumption occurs.SOLUTION: A ground material using soft soil is a mixture containing the soft soil and a granular material. The mixture exhibits a behavior of strain hardening when a shear force acts when consolidated and undrained. The ground material to which this invention is applied is used for an earth structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
【課題】想定を上回る地震動が発生した場合であっても、土構造物が著しく変形することなく、破壊を抑制することが可能となる地盤材料及び地盤改良方法を提供する。【解決手段】地盤材料は、軟弱土が用いられる地盤材料であって、軟弱土と粒状材とが含まれる混合体であり、前記混合体は、圧密非排水下においてせん断力が作用するもとで、ひずみ硬化の挙動を示すものであることを特徴とする。また本発明を適用した地盤材料は、土構造物に用いられる。【選択図】図10
