To provide a jig for safely extracting a heavy existing pile.SOLUTION: A pile catcher 10 for preventing an existing pile from falling comprises: a substantially arc-shaped first arm 1; a substantially arc-shaped second arm 2; and a plurality of holding portions 4 provided at sides of the first arm 1 and the second arm 2 which face the center of the substantial arc. The side of the first arm 1 facing the center of the substantial arc and the side of the second arm 2 facing the center of the substantial arc face with each other, and a holding state where the plurality of holding portions 4 hold the existing pile or a non-holding state where the plurality of holding portions 4 do not hold the existing pile can be selected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
