ON-VEHICLE AUTHENTICATION DEVICE AND PORTABLE MACHINE AUTHENTICATION METHOD
To prevent a situation that a battery of a portable machine is abnormally wasted.SOLUTION: When a call signal is transmitted to a portable machine in the circumference of a vehicle, and a response signal corresponded to the call signal is received, an authentication request signal is transmitted and an authentication signal in response to the authentication request signal is received, a portable machine is authenticated by using the authentication signal. When transmitting the authentication request signal, the signal is transmitted in a signal intensity larger than that of the call signal. Thus, since the portable machine can receive the call signal, the response signal is replied. Although, since the authentication request signal cannot be received, and the authentication signal is not replied, the call signal is not transmitted from the vehicle side at many times. As a result, since the portable machine replies the response signal to the call signal transmitted from the vehicle side at many times, the situation that a battery of the portable machine is rapidly wasted can be avoided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
【課題】携帯機の電池が異常に消耗する事態を防止する。【解決手段】車両周辺の携帯機に対して呼出信号を送信し、呼出信号に対する応答信号を受信した場合には、認証要求信号を送信して、認証要求信号に対する認証信号を受信したら、その認証信号を用いて携帯機を認証する。ここで、認証要求信号を送信するに際しては、呼出信号よりも大きな信号強度で送信する。こうすれば、携帯機が呼出信号は受信できるので応答信号を返信するが、認証要求信号は受信できないので認証信号を返信せず、車両側から何度も呼出信号が送信されることが生じない。その結果、車両側から何度も送信される呼出信号に対して携帯機が応答信号を返信してしまい、携帯機の電池が急に消耗する事態を回避することができる。【選択図】図9
