To provide a rail joint gap repairing method capable of further reducing generation of water leakage.SOLUTION: In a step S10 of a rail joint gap repairing method of an embodiment, a rail gap joint repairing member 1 in a state in which a first rib 22 and a second rib 32 are directed to outside and a seat part 13 is curved so that it projects downward is inserted into a rail joint gap 104 from the side part of a bridge 100 so that a longitudinal direction X is along a width direction W of the bridge 100. In a step S20 and a step S30, a plurality of first ribs 22 are pressed against a first face 101a forming the rail joint gap 104, and a plurality of second ribs 32 are pressed against a second face 101b forming the rail joint gap 104 and opposing the first face 101a. In a step S40, a water stop adhesive is filled into a first filling space 51 formed by the plurality of first ribs 22 and the first face 101a and a second filling space 52 formed by the plurality of second ribs 32 and the second face 101b.
