To provide a panel material which can be easily constructed and has good appearance after construction, and to provide a building using the panel material.SOLUTION: A panel material includes: a honeycomb panel 20 in which face plates 23, 24 are affixed to front and back surfaces of a honeycomb core 21 in which a plurality of cells 21d formed in a hollow cylindrical shape having a hexagonal shape in plan view are connected to each other; a structural material 30 housed in the honeycomb panel 20 and accommodated in an accommodating space part 26 formed in the honeycomb core 21; a joining part 36 joining the structural material 30 and the honeycomb core 21; and a support part 35 provided on a part of the structural member 30 and capable of being fixed to a post 11 that is another structural member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
