To provide a foundation structure and a foundation construction method for enhancing the shear resistance of a foundation having a concrete floor slab provided on the ground and a footing beam having an embedment portion projecting downward from the concrete floor slab and embedded in the ground.SOLUTION: A foundation structure comprises a concrete floor slab (pressure-resistant plate 16) provided on a surface layer ground G1, and a footing beam 12X5 projecting upward from the concrete floor slab 16 and having an embedment portion 12XE protruding downward from the concrete floor slab 16 and being embedded in the ground G1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
