To reduce work labor of a vertical slit construction.SOLUTION: An earthquake-proof slit structure 30 comprises: an existing frame 10 including a pair of existing columns 12, 14 and an upper side existing beam 16 and a lower side existing beam 18 constructed over the pair of existing columns 12, 14; an existing wall 20 provided in the existing frame 10 and connected to the upper side existing beam 16 and the lower side existing beam 18; a vertical slit 32 formed between the existing column 12 and the existing wall 20 and extending vertically; and a dividing slit 40 formed in the existing wall 20 and dividing the existing wall 20 into a spandrel wall 22 and a hanging wall 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
