METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF CERAMIC HONEYCOMB FILTER
To provide a method for production of a honeycomb filter capable of preventing occurrence of crack along a mesh sealing part-forming flow path when burning a mesh sealing material slurry filled in the prescribed flow path end part of a compact or burning body having a honeycomb structure.SOLUTION: A production method for a ceramic honeycomb filter comprises: filling the prescribed flow path end part of a compact having the honeycomb structure comprising numerous flow paths partitioned by porous partition walls, or a burning body comprising by burning the compact with a mesh sealing material slurry; drying the flow path end part; and then burning. Burning after filling of the mesh sealing material slurry and drying is carried out by placing a hot insulation member on one end face of the compact or burning body. The hot insulation member is prepared by setting up a hole sealing part on at least one end face side of a through-hole of the ceramic honeycomb member having numerous through-holes partitioned by the porous partition wall.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】ハニカム構造を有する成形体又は焼成体の所定の流路端部に充填した目封止材スラリーを焼成する際に発生する目封止部形成流路に沿った亀裂を防止することのできるハニカムフィルタの製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】多孔質の隔壁で仕切られた多数の流路からなるハニカム構造を有する成形体、又は前記成形体を焼成してなる焼成体の所定の流路端部に目封止材スラリーを充填後、乾燥し、焼成して、セラミックハニカムフィルタを製造する方法であって、目封止材スラリーを充填及び乾燥後の焼成は、成形体又は焼成体の一方の端面上に保温部材を載置して行い、前記保温部材は、多孔質の隔壁で仕切られた多数の貫通孔を有するセラミックハニカム部材の前記貫通孔の少なくとも一方の端面側に封孔部を設けてなることを特徴とする。【選択図】図3
