To provide a road unit system capable of contributing to the realization of smart cities, and the like, which can carry out high functionalization of roads with a light burden and in a short construction period.SOLUTION: The present invention is a road unit system using as a platform a road unit to be installed and constructed at a site that has been carried in after being manufactured at a plant, and the like, and which constitutes a road, comprising a function unit incorporated in the road unit to perform specific functions. The road unit is a road unit system having an engaging part incorporating the functional unit. The function unit consists of a road surface unit exhibiting a function related to the road surface of the road unit, an infrastructure unit related to the infrastructure housed in the road unit, and an ancillary unit exhibiting additional functions utilizing the space of the road unit outside these units, and the like.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
