To provide an unsaturated polyester resin composition for providing a molded article having excellent smoothness especially when a molding material is prepared by SMC or TMC and a molded article is molded by using the molding material, a molding material containing the unsaturated polyester resin composition, a molded article containing a cured article of the molding material, and an artificial marble containing the cured article of the molding material.SOLUTION: An unsaturated polyester resin composition contains a base material and a pattern material. The base material contains an unsaturated polyester rein for base material, a filler for base material, and a low shrinking agent. The pattern material contains a cured article of an unsaturated polyester resin for pattern material and a filler for pattern material, having thickness of 1.0 mm or less and satisfying the following formula [1].SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】とりわけ、ＳＭＣまたはＴＭＣによって、成形材料を調製し、この成形材料を用いて成形品を成形する場合において、優れた平滑性を有する成形品を得るための不飽和ポリエステル樹脂組成物、その不飽和ポリエステル樹脂組成物を含む成形材料、その成形材料の硬化物を含む成形品、および、その成形材料の硬化物を含む人造大理石を提供すること。【解決手段】不飽和ポリエステル樹脂組成物は母材と柄材とを含有する。母材は、母材用不飽和ポリエステル樹脂と母材用充填材と低収縮化剤とを含有する。柄材は、柄材用不飽和ポリエステル樹脂の硬化物と柄材用充填材とを含有し、かつ、厚みが、１．０ｍｍ以下であり、下記式［１］を満足する。【選択図】なし
