To provide a refractory material, in which the cured product has a good surface property and the expansion speed at the beginning of heating is fast.SOLUTION: Provided is a refractory material, that is a cured product of a refractory resin composition containing a thermosetting resin, a heat-expandable graphite, and an inorganic filler, is a refractory material having an expansion ratio of 5 times or more when heated at 200°C for 30 minutes, and in which the expansion ratio under pressure when heated for 2 minutes in a state in which a load of 100 g is applied at 600°C preferably is 3 times or more, and also the heat expansion start temperature of the heat-expandable graphite preferably is 110°C to 190°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】硬化物の表面性が良好で、加熱初期の膨張速度が速い耐火材を提供する。【解決手段】熱硬化性樹脂、熱膨張性黒鉛、及び無機充填材を含む耐火樹脂組成物の硬化物であり、200℃で30分間加熱した際の膨張倍率が5倍以上である耐火材であり、600℃で100gの荷重をかけた状態で2分間加熱した際の加圧下膨張倍率が、3倍以上であることが好ましく、また、前記熱膨張性黒鉛の熱膨張開始温度が110℃〜190℃であることが好ましい。【選択図】なし
