To provide a method for easily reinforcing an existing structure in the ground.SOLUTION: A method for reinforcing an existing structure 1 in a ground G includes: a step for constructing body sections 7 of piles 5 on both the lower sides of the existing structure 1 in the ground G; a step for temporarily supporting the existing structure 1 using temporary support means (timbering 26, for example); a step for excavating the ground G so as to form a space 30 above the body section 7 of the pile 5 and below the existing structure 1; a step for constructing a gate-shaped foundation structure 3 including the body sections 7 of the piles 5 and a lateral rail 6 by connecting both ends of the lateral rail 6 to the upper ends of the body sections 7 of the piles 5 within the space 30; and a step for connecting the foundation structure 3 to the existing structure 1. In the step for constructing the foundation structure 3, both ends of the lateral rail 6 are connected to the upper ends of the body sections 7 of the piles 5 via cylindrical members 8 by connecting the cylindrical members 8, which are each attached to both ends of the lateral rail 6, to the upper ends of the body sections 7 of the piles 5 within the space 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】地盤中の既設構造物を簡易に補強する方法を提供する。【解決手段】地盤Ｇ中の既設構造物１の補強方法は、地盤Ｇ中における既設構造物１の両側方かつ下方に杭５の本体部７を構築する工程と、既設構造物１を仮支持手段（例えば支保工２６）により仮支持する工程と、杭５の本体部７の上方かつ既設構造物１の下方に空間部３０を形成するように地盤Ｇを掘削する工程と、空間部３０内にて、横桁６の両端部を、それぞれ、杭５の本体部７の上端部に連結することにより、杭５の本体部７と横桁６とを含む門型の基礎構造物３を構築する工程と、既設構造物１に基礎構造物３を連結する工程とを含む。基礎構造物３を構築する工程では、横桁６の両端部にそれぞれ取り付けられた筒状部材８を、空間部３０内にて杭５の本体部７の上端部に連結することにより、横桁６の両端部を筒状部材８を介して杭５の本体部７の上端部に連結する。【選択図】図５
