To provide an automatic door which can control an action of the door according to an attribute of a passing body, while in conventional automatic doors, the action of the door is constant, and the attribute of the passing body is not considered, though passing speeds are different depending on the attributes of the passing bodies.SOLUTION: An action changeable part 40 which changes broadness of a protecting detection area which is provided near a door for protection of passing bodies based on the attributes of the passing bodies that pass an opening portion having the door, and a control part 20 which controls to open and close the door based on a detection state of the protecting detection area are comprised.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
