To provide an unlocking system and an unlocking method that can unlock an automatic door using mobile terminals even if an electronic lock is not provided for the automatic door.SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 10 acquires location information that locates an administrative server 20. The mobile terminal 10 transmits an identification code for authenticating a user of the mobile terminal 10, to the administrative server 20 that corresponds to the acquired location information, on the basis of the acquired location information. The administrative server 20 receives the identification code. The administrative server 20 authenticates a user on the basis of the received identification code. An administrative unit 23 transmits an unlocking instruction to unlock an automatic door to an unlocking device 30 when the authentication of the user succeeds.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
