    To provide a mounting member that is excellent in gripping power, heat resistance, and low dust generation, and that does not easily contaminate a mounted object.SOLUTION: In a mounting member 100, the mounting surface is composed of an assembly 10 of carbon nanotubes. A carbon nanotube aggregate includes carbon nanotubes 11 having a multi-layer structure. The standard deviation of the number of layers of the carbon nanotubes is 3 or less, the average value of the diameter of the carbon nanotubes is 1 nm to 800 nm, and a portion including the tip of the carbon nanotubes is covered with an inorganic material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
