To effectively deal with cases where there is a bias in the direction of the moment generated due to the operating posture of an upper device and the work content in a clamp device that grips the open end of a tubular body.SOLUTION: A clamp device 10 for gripping an open end of a tubular body P comprises three or more clamp mechanisms 11, 12, 13, and 14 for sandwiching and clamping a side wall SW of the open end from the inside and the outside at different positions along the circumference of the open end, respectively. The three or more clamp mechanisms are arranged so that the clamping force on the side wall arranged on one side F of a virtual straight line, in which an open side of the open end is bisected by the virtual straight line AC in any direction passing through the center A, can be made larger than the clamping force on the side wall arranged on the other side of the virtual straight line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
