To appropriately detect failures of a road without converting a series of images in which the road forward or rearward is photographed into an image looked upon from right above.SOLUTION: Provided is a road failure detection device 100, and that includes: a detection section 113 for, from a series of images based on perspective in which a road forward or rearward is photographed, detecting an image area including failures of the road; and a tallying section 116 for using a sum of an area of the detected image area, for calculating a failure ratio of the road for each section.
