To provide a rainwater pump control device enabling a prior standby operation of a rainwater pump only when rainwater flows in.SOLUTION: A rainwater pump control device comprises: a return water amount detection section 13 that detects an amount of water returned by a drainage pump 6, the water accumulating in a pump well 3; an inflow ditch water level change rate calculating section 11 that calculates a water level change rate of an inflow ditch 1, the change rate being only due to rainwater inflow, from a difference between a water level increase value of the inflow ditch 1 being an entrance where rainwater flows in and the amount of returned water detected by the return water amount detection section 13; and a pump control section 12 that predicts in advance that the rainwater flows into the pump well 3 according to the inflow ditch water level change rate detected by the inflow ditch water level change rate calculating section 11 and instructs a rainwater pump 7 to start a prior standby operation based on a pump well water level value detected by a water level gauge 5 provided in the pump well 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
