To provide a horizontal opening/closing gate in which appropriately automated opening/closing gate is possible with a small electric motor, and can be more rationally installed.SOLUTION: A horizontal opening/closing gate includes a rack pinion mechanism 15 composed of a rack 21 fixed to an opening/closing door 20 and a pinion gear 16 which is rotatably held by a fixing wall-shaped part 10 and is engaged with the rack 21, and a deceleration driving mechanism 30 which is connected to the pinion gear 16 and drives the rack pinion mechanism 15, in which the deceleration driving mechanism 30 includes an electric motor 31, a hydraulic pump 32 outputting a required hydraulic pressure by power of the electric motor 31, and a hydraulic motor 33 which outputs the decelerated rotational power to the pinion gear 16 by a hydraulic pressure that is output from the hydraulic pump 32 and is supplied through a hydraulic piping 34, and the hydraulic motor 33 is arranged in a state of being fixed/held to the fixing wall-shaped part 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
