To provide an image generation device, an image generation method, and a program that can save costs when determining the color of an adjacent member for a building board containing a plurality of colors.SOLUTION: In an image presentation system 1, an image generation device 3 used to determine the color of an adjacent member for a building board containing a plurality of colors includes a narrow image generation unit 33 and a composite image generation unit 34. The narrow image generation unit 33 extracts at least one color among the plurality of colors from an image of the building board, and generates a narrow image from the extracted one color. The composite image generation unit 34 generates a composite image by superimposing the narrow image on the image of the building board.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
