To achieve a warning device for reducing traffic accidents between vehicles and pedestrians at a lower cost.SOLUTION: A warning device (100) includes: a plurality of road blocks (9_1 to 9_n); a light generator (3) for generating light; a light emission unit (4) for emitting the light generated in the light generator to the outside of the road block; a detector (2) for detecting an object; a controller (1) for controlling generation of light by the light generator on the basis of the result of detection by the detector; and a light guiding path (6) for propagating the light generated in the light generator to the light emission unit, the light emission unit and the light generator being provided in different ones of the road blocks, the ones of the road blocks which are formed between the road block where the light generator is provided and the road block where the light emission unit is provided having an inner space (920) with an opening on an outer peripheral surface, and the light guiding path being arranged in the inner space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
