To provide a vertical end joist supporting metal fitting and a vertical end joist supporting method which can vertically support an outer form for a wall installed in the periphery of concrete formation.SOLUTION: A vertical end joist supporting metal fitting comprises: a first metal fitting in which a first shaft member formed with a concrete screw on one end side thereof, and fixed with a fall-off-prevention nut on the other end thereof, is movably inserted through with a first engagement member having an engagement surface that is engaged with vertical joists and that is oriented toward the one end side of the first shaft member; and a second metal fitting in which a second shaft member formed with a male screw is screwed on one end side thereof with a second engagement member having an engagement surface that is engaged with the vertical joists and that is oriented toward the other end side of the second shaft member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
