To provide a permeable-type sand prevention dam allowing cost increase to be avoided.SOLUTION: A permeable-type sand prevention dam is the permeable-type sand prevention dam constructed in a river or a canal, being configured to have a plurality of vertical rod-like members arranged spaced apart from each other in a lateral direction and a plurality of lateral rod-like members arranged space apart from each other in a vertical direction as well as being provided with: a boulder capturing part having a plurality of net openings smaller than boulders to capture the boulders; and a small gravel capturing part placed at a downstream side and having a plurality of net openings smaller than those of the boulder capturing part to capture small gravel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
