To enable both UHF and HF IC tags to be used together in a single admission management system for building an environment where these IC tags can be used together at a low cost.SOLUTION: An admission management system which is configured to include a gate 15 that restricts entry into a limited compartment 13, an admission management device 11 that records admission authority into the limited compartment 13 for each identification ID, and a gate reader 16 that is attached to the gate 15 to control opening/closing according to the admission authority corresponding to the identification ID recorded in the IC tag, and in which the gate reader 16 is equipped with short-range reading means 26 for reading HF-band IC tags 14a and a receiving interface 27 for receiving the identification ID of UHF-band IC tags 14b read by the UHF band.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
