To provide a thickener composition for a hydraulic composition having excellent thickening effect on the hydraulic composition.SOLUTION: A thickener composition for a hydraulic composition comprises: (A) a sulfate ester or its salt, in which the carbon number of a hydrocarbon group is 12 or more and 22 or less and the average addition mole number of ethylene oxide is 1 or more and 200 or less; and (B) one or more nonionic surfactant selected from a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether in which the carbon number of an alkyl group is 12 or more and 20 or less and HLB is 6.0 or more and 11.0 or less, and a polyoxyethylene alkenyl ether in which the carbon number of an alkenyl group is 12 or more and 20 or less and HLB is 6.0 or more and 11.0 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
